Task-maker spirit keeping us in bondage, in poverty and penury, we cast you out of our lives by fire!
“Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh supply cities, Pithom and Raamses.” Exodus 1:11
“Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage.” Exodus 2:23
EXPOSITION:
The taskmaster or slave-driver spirit as it happened in the biblical time of the Israelites is still in operation in our time. This is an evil spirit that delights in keeping people under hard labour, forcing people to ‘work like elephant only to eat like ants!’ We rebuke this spirit in our lives in the name of Jesus.
The Israelites were victims of circumstance of taskmaster spirit in Egypt for over 400 years. They were multiplying and increasing in number, they grew so rapidly in might and became a threat to the Egyptians. In an attempt to curb this rapid growth, the Egyptians devised a plan as written in Exodus 1:11-14 – “Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with their burdens…” And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage… All their services in which they made them serve was with vigour.”
The intent of the Egyptians was to reduce the children of Israel in number and to weaken them. However, this device was divinely frustrated that it could not accomplish its goal. In this order, I pray that the efforts of the likes of Egyptian taskmasters, whether human on non-human to keep us perpetual bondage, in pain and sorrow shall not work, these efforts shall be counter-productive in the name of Jesus. Amen.
In this terrible, agonising, hopeless and helpless situation, God manifested and confirmed Himself to His people as the Hope of the hopeless and the Help of the helpless; He proved Himself as the Refuge and Strength, a very present Help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). God heard the groaning of His children, He remembered His covenant with their fathers, looked upon them and acknowledge them. This season, God will remember all of us for good in the name of Jesus.
Dearly beloved of the LORD, are you a victim of circumstance like the Israelites? Are you in any hopeless and helpless taskmaster-situation? Your time of deliverance is now; the God of turnaround will show forth this season, power will change hand, that agonising situation will be overturned in you favour; that hard labour will be turned to great favour for you; the pain you are experiencing will become great gain for you in the name of Jesus. 1. Father God, we thank You for making us more than conquerors through our Lord Jesus in Jesus’ name. (Romans 8:37).
2. Father God, we thank You for the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ to deliver us from the bondage and giving us victory over our enemies in Jesus’ name. (Romans 8:21).
3. Lord Jesus, please forgive us in any way we have entangled ourselves again with any yoke of bondage in Jesus’ name. (Galatians 5:1).
4. Lord Jesus, we decree and declare destruction over the spirit of hard labour that makes someone to work like a donkey and have nothing to show for it, in Jesus’ name.
5. Lord Jesus, deliver us from the spirit that has kept us in bondage for long in Jesus’ name.
6. Lord Jesus, we destroy every spirit that is oppressing us and making sure we don’t experience the joy of marriage, wealth, childbearing, peace and wealth in Jesus’ name.
7. (Sing this song. Arise O Lord, let Your enemies be scattered 3x, O Lord, O Lord arise). O Lord, arise and fight for me against those who are boasting and beating their chests that I will not breakthrough in Jesus’ name. (Psalm 68:1).
8. I break out and break forth now from the grip of any taskmaster monitoring my life, children and destiny, in Jesus’ name.
9. O Lord, I stand against any spirit that is standing as opposition, hindrance, obstacle to me and my family, I command, be destroyed in Jesus’ name.
10. Lord, let every satanic agenda of struggle and frustrated efforts in my life be totally destroyed in Jesus’ name.
11. Lord Jesus, by the power of resurrection, I stop all the activities of wicked taskmasters in my life in Jesus’ name.
12. (Sing this song. We are moving forward, no power can stop us, we are moving forward). Lord Jesus, we come against every power oppressing SDCC from moving forward in Jesus’ name.
13. You spirit of taskmaster, I possess my possessions from your hand, release them now in Jesus’ name. (Obadiah 1:17).
14. Lord Jesus in Your name, I shall live to enjoy the works of my hands both spiritually and physically in Jesus’ name.
15. Lord Jesus, we thank You for answering our prayers and for the testimonies that will follow in Jesus’ name.
