The seeds of the prayers we have sown in tears shall bring joyful and bountiful harvests.

“Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing.” Psalm 126:5-6

EXPOSITION:

After the famer has sown on his farmland, he would have to wait with patient for the season of harvesting to come, expecting nothing short of favourable harvest as the deserving reward for his toil and labour.

This is similar to the prayer journey we have been coming through which is heading to a close. Our prayers are the seeds been sown, with the expectation of a favourable harvest. Regarding to this is a blessed assurance we have in Psalm 126, verses 5&6 read thus: “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing sheaves with him.” God’s ability and capacity at rewarding us exceedingly for the diligent, purposeful, and goal-oriented efforts as we have put into this spiritual journey is undoubtful. In Ephesians 3:20, He, God is described as the Able God who can “do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”

Fellow beloved of the Lord, we should rejoice and be happy at these scriptural promises; we should in faith appropriate them to our life situations believing that everything we have said to God’s hearing in prayers and even the things we haven’t said but just imagine or think about in our hearts, the Able, Omniscience and benevolent God will convert them to practical manifestations for us. And so shall it come out to be by the grace of God.

Our tears can be seeds that will grow into a harvest because God is able to make this happen, and so will He do for us; the seeds we have sown in this prayer season shall result in joyful and bountiful harvest; every secret tears shall be converted to open testimonies; the pains we have borne and endured shall turn to great gains for us in the name of Jesus. Amen. God bless you. SHALOM. Pastor Jide Siwoku
