More than conquerors are we over the spirit of anti-Christ in this end time
By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore, they speak as of the world, and the world hears them.” 1 John 4:2-5
Overcoming the spirit of Antichrist
What is it? Antichrist. Anti means to be against, to oppose. So the Antichrist spirit is and the spirit that is against the spirit of Christ, opposes the spirit of God. The spirit of Antichrist is the spirit of falsehood. It opposes everything that is of Christ, it stands against, contradicts everything that is in Christ and that is of Christ.
It is the spirit of the world, the spirit of the end time as the Bible says in 2 Tim 3:2 ff (For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good) and in 1 John 2:16 (For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world).
The Antichrist spirit denies the existence and manifestations of Christ.1 John 4:2-3 establish this, know that this spirit is already in the world. It is deceiving, it is disruptive it is not of God and so as believers we should have the discerning spirit and the power to shield ourselves from the spirits of the Antichrist and this is by knowing the truth of Christ Jesus, applying it, that is living the truth of Jesus. May the Lord help us in Jesus name. Amen
Prayer Points:
1. Our Heavenly Father, we give glory to Your Holy name for our salvation, received by grace through faith in You, in Jesus’ name. (Acts 4:12).
2. O Lord our Saviour, we praise You for the victory we have over Satan and his agents in Jesus’ name. (1 John 4:4).
3. Spirit of the living God, fill our life, take absolute control of our soul and separate us from every spirit of the anti-Christ, now already in the world in the name of Jesus (1 John 4:4).
4. O Lord our God, by the power of Your Spirit, destroy every deceitful spirit that could manifest in the life of any of our church members in Jesus’ name. (Acts 5:1-4).
5. Our Father in Heaven, by Your power, overcome for us, over every spirit of the anti-Christ proclaiming falsehood and perversion in our nations, in Jesus’ name.
6. Teachers of falsehood are spreading the “doctrine of demons” in this end time. O Lord, disgrace these false teachers and put a stop to their movements for the sake of our children, in the name of Jesus. (2 John 1:7-11).
7. Our Faithful Father! Create in us a new heart, give our children a renewed spirit that will not engage with the spirit of the anti-Christ in this end time in Jesus’ name.
8. O Lord, give us listening ear and receptive heart to receive from You and not from any “lying spirit” in Jesus’ name. (1 Kings 22:19- 22).
9. O Lord, delete and destroy every activity of the spirit of the anti- Christ in our church and families in Jesus’ name.
10. We and our children will not be victims of the false teachers in the name of Jesus.
11. Our children shall be taught by the Lord for greater peace and glorious achievements in the name of Jesus. (Isaiah 54:13).
12. We declare that “Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world”! In the name Jesus’, we are more than conquerors. (1 John 4:4).
13. We boldly confess that Jesus is our Lord and Saviour to the glory of God the Father, in Jesus’ name. (Philippians 2:10-11).
14. We boldly confess and declare that “the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth in Jesus’ name. (John 1:14).
15. Almighty God, we thank You for making us “more than conquerors over the spirit of the anti-Christ in this end times, in Jesus’ name. (Romans 8:37).
