The LORD will fight for us
“The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” Exodus 14:14
“And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it; and Hezekiah went up to the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord. Then Hezekiah prayed to the Lord, saying: “O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, the One who dwells between the cherubim, You are God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth. Incline Your ear, O Lord, and hear; open Your eyes, O Lord, and see; and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to reproach the living God.” Isaiah 37:14-17
The Lord, The Mighty Warrior
It is the Lord that fights for us and we hold our peace. He is the One that gives us victory. The Greater One in the life of the Christian fights and wins all our battles for us no matter what the battle is or however seemingly big or insurmountable it might look or be. The Lord is a mighty warrior! Jehovah Gibbor. ”Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle.“ Psalms 24:8 NKJV
He constantly shields and protects us even when we do not know. There are some battles we are not even aware of (especially when we are asleep) but God fights on our behalf and gives us victory. It is when the victory comes that we know there has been a battle.
That song that says “When I go into any battle in the name of Jesus, I am a winner” is so profound.
Whatever the battle is, whatever name it is called (there is a name greater, higher – Jesus), be assured Child of God, there is One called Jehovah Sabaoth – The Lord of Hosts. He fights with everything as He deems fit and victory is the outcome always.
We have the assurance that He fights for us! ”You must not fear them, for the Lord your God Himself fights for you.’“ Deuteronomy 3:22 NKJV
He wins all battles! Halleluyah!
All battles! Rest in this……
