Appreciation To God for His Unfailing Faithfulness Over His Church in This Domain
“And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18
“Through the LORD’s mercies, we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3: 232-2
Welcome to the second day of the 2024 Lenten season. We thank God for the blessings, faithfulness, testimonies, and manifestations of the first day. Today we want to continue in the praise and worship of our God as we remember the unfailing faithfulness and abundant mercy of the past years especially for the church of God in this domain. The bible corroborates the fact of God’s faithfulness, and He demonstrated it by His performances of the past in the lives of His people. The scripture confirms that our God indeed is faithful (Deuteronomy 7:9; 1 Thess.5:24). He will never betray his faithfulness (Psalm 89:33).He is abounding in love and faithfulness (Exodus 34:6).
God’s words and promises are eternal and unchanging. None of His word will go unfulfilled. His faithfulness continues through all generations (Psalm 119:90).
Everything about us is dependent on His faithfulness – our salvation, answered prayer, fulfilment, breakthrough, eternity all depends on God’s faithfulness and mercy.
Because God has been faithful in the past, we can trust him with my present and the future as well. Because God is faithful, I have “strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow.” It is his mercy that has kept our church, districts, DCC because the ever faithful God promised that He will build His church and the gates of hell cannot prevail against His church.
Our complete trust in this ever faithful and merciful God will motivate us to surrender all that we are to Him and also motivate us to worship him under whatsoever circumstances. The scripture says in Hebrews 10:23—”Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”
