Day 21 Reflection: I Receive Total Victory at All Times in Christ
Key Scriptures:
- “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.” – 2 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV)
- “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 15:57 (KJV)
Understanding Total Victory in Christ
Victory is a central theme in the Christian faith. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, believers are assured of victory over sin, Satan, and the struggles of life. The victory we have in Christ is not partial or temporary—it is total and continuous, covering every aspect of our lives.
When Paul declares in 2 Corinthians 2:14 that God “always causeth us to triumph in Christ,” he is emphasizing that our victories are not occasional but constant. The phrase “always” signifies that no matter the season, situation, or challenge, we remain victorious in Christ.
Similarly, 1 Corinthians 15:57 reminds us that our victory comes through Jesus Christ. It is not based on our strength, intelligence, or personal efforts but on Christ’s finished work on the cross. The resurrection of Jesus guarantees our triumph over the forces of darkness and the power of sin.
What Does Total Victory Mean?
- Victory Over Sin and Death
- Before Christ, humanity was enslaved to sin and destined for eternal separation from God. However, Jesus’ sacrifice has freed us from this bondage.
- Romans 6:14 – “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”
- Romans 8:1-2 – “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”
- Victory Over Satan and His Schemes
- The devil constantly seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but through Christ, we have power over him.
- Luke 10:19 – “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
- Colossians 2:15 – “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
- Victory in Life’s Battles
- Life is full of challenges, but in every situation, God assures us of triumph.
- Psalm 34:19 – “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.”
- Isaiah 54:17 – “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.”
- Victory in Spiritual Warfare
- As believers, we engage in spiritual warfare daily, but through Christ, we have the tools to win.
- Ephesians 6:12 – “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
- 2 Corinthians 10:4 – “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.”
How to Walk in Total Victory
- Have Faith in Christ’s Finished Work
- Believe that Jesus has already won the victory for you.
- 1 John 5:4 – “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”
- Live a Life of Thanksgiving and Praise
- Victory is sealed in thanksgiving! Paul begins both our key scriptures with “Thanks be to God,” showing that gratitude activates our triumph.
- Psalm 100:4 – “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”
- Stand on the Word of God
- The Word is a weapon that guarantees victory over every battle.
- Joshua 1:8 – “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
- Pray Without Ceasing
- Victory is sustained through a life of prayer and communion with God.
- Luke 18:1 – “Men ought always to pray, and not to faint.”
- Walk in the Spirit
- Victory is experienced when we are led by the Spirit rather than the flesh.
- Galatians 5:16 – “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”
Declaration of Victory
Confession of Faith:
- I declare that I am victorious in Christ at all times!
- I triumph over sin, sickness, failure, and every attack of the enemy!
- No situation can defeat me because I have the life of Christ in me!
- I walk in dominion, power, and authority daily!
- I receive total victory in my family, career, ministry, and spiritual walk!
- Thanks be to God, who always causes me to triumph in Christ!
In conclusion, victory is not something we strive for, it is something we already have in Christ! We do not fight for victory; we fight from victory. The battles of life may come, but the outcome is already determined: we win in Christ!
So, as you journey through this fasting and prayer program, walk in the confidence that God always causes you to triumph! No defeat, no retreat, just victory upon victory in Christ Jesus!
Total victory is yours—now and always! Amen!
