LORD, imprint a divine ‘touch not’ mark upon us and our households.
“Saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm.” Psalms 105:15
“From now on, let no one trouble me,
for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.” Galatians 6:17
EXPOSITION:
‘Imprint’ as it appears in today’s topic could mean to impress, to engrave or to emboss. What is imprinted is bold, easy to see and read; it perhaps lasts longer than ordinary writing, like the word ‘inscribe’ used in Isaiah 49:16 – “See, I have inscribed you on my palms…” Inscriptions are permanent, they are indelible!
We are praying, asking God to imprint a divine ‘touch not’ mark upon us and our households so that evil forces moving, flying about will see us and pass us bye like it was for the children of Israel in Goshen, Egypt when on the Passover night the angel of destruction passed them bye and their households. Also, in their wilderness journey – “When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people, He permitted no one to do them wrong; yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, saying, do not touch My anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm” (Psalm 105:13-15). This was because a divine ‘touch not’ mark was on them.
There are unseen demonic forces flying and operating in the airspace; they rove about not for any good intention but to touch people and do all sorts of evil to them. However, those who have received this divine ‘touch not’ mark will always be untouchable; the evil forces will see the mark on them and just move away, because the word of God has said it in Galatians 6:17, “From now on let no one trouble me, for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.”
For anyone who bears this ‘touch not’ mark, it will be as written in Psalm 91:5-8 – “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look and see the reward of the wicked.”
May this mark of heaven be upon us, on our places of abode and on everyone in our households permanently; by the reason of our prayer this season, pestilence, affliction of sickness, deceases and infirmities, will pass us bye, angels of destruction will pass us bye, sorrow, calamities, everything unpleasant and unwanted will pass us bye in the name of Jesus. God bless you. SHALOM. – Pastor Jide Siwoku
